Anoushka Shankar

Anoushka Shankar, a British American musician and sitarist, is most well-known for her music. She is the youngest female and also the first woman to be awarded a British House of Commons shield. Anoushka Shakar, who is just a emerging star on the Indian Sitar, is Anoushka. She's the child of Ravi Shankar and a former student. She was born in London in 1982 and began her life by hopping to London and New Delhi. Her first performance took place in New Delhi when she was just 13 years old. In Encinitas California in 1999, she was awarded an honorary high school certificate. The career of Anouskha as a performer and recorder is remarkable, even at her youth. Since quite some time, she performs regularly alongside her father. The first album she released as a solo artist, Anourag, was released in 1998. The album was released in 2002. her Grammy nominated album Live at Carnegie Hall. Her stage career is very extensive for she has been in every one of the biggest venues in the world. Anoushka isn't just a musician. She published Bapi The love of my life in the year 2002. This is a picture biographical work that is a tribute to her dad Ravi Shankar. In 2003 she starred as the role of a Bharat Natyam dancer in Dance Like a Man. Anoushka shankar is a rising superstar and her fame will keep on growing. Anoushka Shankar was born in England and spent a lot of her early years in London and Delhi after which she moved to California where she attended the high school. At the age of 9 she began her studies in music with her father. Her first performance with the Sitar was in her 75th birthday celebration in Delhi just four years later. Anoushka was a part of her father on his worldwide tour, gained an impressive number of experiences. As a teenager, she performed at Carnegie Hall as part of Peter Gabriel's WOMAD and recorded alongside George Harrison. The House of Commons Shield was given to her by the British Parliament for being the pre-eminent Asian Arts musician. She is the only woman and is the smallest recipient of this prize.
